“Members of the great Formula 1 family always look forward to their annual visit with Canadian fans, particularly because they can feel the special atmosphere that graces Montréal every time. Since 2010, this atmosphere has been felt starting on Thursday night, thanks to our gala dinner ‘The Grand Evening’ and to the generous and enthusiastic participation of our business community,” explained François Dumontier. “And I couldn’t be happier this year that Mr. de Gaspé Beaubien and Mr. Duguay have agreed to join us and our supported foundations to make this seventh edition another rousing success, and for this, I thank them sincerely.”
“Children should never have to worry about the adult world; their job is to simply grow, to play, to marvel and to trust in life. However, we all have the responsibility for insuring the welfare of children, whoever they may be. It is our duty to speak out on their behalf and to give them all an equal chance to succeed in life,” stated for his own part Daniel Germain, President and founder of Le Club des petits déjeuners/Breakfast Club of Canada. “François Dumontier is demonstrating this believes by choosing to support our case and we are honored by this.”
For 20 years now, Beakfast Club of Canada has been committed to feeding children’s potential by making sure that as many of them as possible have access to a nutritious breakfast and an environment that fosters their selfesteem before classes begin. Much more than a breakfast program, the Club’s approach is founded on commitment, appreciation and developing abilities. It cooperates with communities and regional organizations to develop an ideal formula adapted to local needs. Now active throughout Canada, Le Club des petits déjeuners helps to feed some 167,271 Canadian children in 1,455 schools from coast to coast to coast.
The Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal treats victims of serious accidents and injuries from the Island of Montréal and many regions in Western Québec. It has been the designated track hospital of the Formula 1 Grand Prix du Canada for several years now, and the members of its trauma team supply medical services for the most important sporting event in the country.
